"From prenatal to labor /delivery and postpartum I have been so well taken care of by the kind-hearted staff and health professionals at Sagua Managu. Prenatal experience was always so positive and each visit was empowering. The visits never felt rushed. I could ask all the questions I had share my fears and concerns and each time the midwife seeing us would thoughtfully respond with honest and encouraging answers. I felt empowered as a patient and as a couple my husband and I felt empowered. We felt like we were all in this together- not like we are passive recipients of services. We labored at Sagua for a couple of days and then ended with an emergency c-section- baby's head stuck in my pelvis- yet the whole experience felt joyful - midwives and nurses were amazing, so positive and so encouraging. We had gotten to know all the midwives over the course of the pregnancy and it was so heart warming that even when they weren't on call they would stop by to say hi and offer encouragement. It felt like we were part of a village of genuinely caring friends who really know their stuff. The room at Sagua is amazing and so comfortable. And the overall environment was just perfect. Postpartum is just as great. I can call the nurse station if I have concerns about anything and I always get great advice and information. I also used their lactation consultant Barbara Mafnas who responded right away when we called and met with us. I was so worried I wasn't producing enough milk. Barbara educated me and my husband and gave us the best tips and adjustments and since then breastfeeding had been painless and worry free. This is really an amazing birthing center and Dr practice. I'm so so grateful and happy for it. I feel so well taken care of."
